Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hakeem platform, operated by Hakeem Health Technologies ("Hakeem", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform in any capacity — as a parent, doctor, or administrator — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Description of Service
Hakeem is a technology platform that connects parents in the Gulf region with licensed pediatricians — physicians holding a medical degree from an accredited faculty of medicine, with years of clinical experience — for scheduled virtual consultations. Hakeem is not an emergency medical service. If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not rely on Hakeem.
Eligibility & Accounts
Parent accounts must be created by an adult legal guardian responsible for the child(ren) added to the account. Doctor accounts are only granted to individuals who have been verified by Hakeem and hold a valid medical license and a medical degree (M.B.B.Ch. or equivalent) from an accredited faculty of medicine; until verified, a doctor's profile does not appear in the public directory. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
Medical Disclaimer
Hakeem is a facilitation platform, not a healthcare provider. Doctors who use Hakeem are independent, licensed practitioners solely responsible for the medical advice, diagnoses, and treatment plans they provide. Hakeem does not practice medicine, does not supervise clinical decisions, and is not a party to the doctor-patient relationship formed during a consultation.
Bookings & Payments
Consultation fees are set by each doctor and displayed before booking. A selected time slot is held temporarily while payment is completed; if payment is not completed within that window, the slot is released back for other parents to book. Payments are processed through our third-party payment processor. A consultation is only marked complete once the treating doctor confirms the session took place.
Virtual Consultations & Meeting Links
Each confirmed booking generates a unique video-consultation link, valid for that appointment only. Meeting links must not be shared, recorded, or redistributed without the consent of both participants.
User Conduct
You agree to provide accurate information, use the platform only for its intended purpose, not attempt to access accounts or data that are not your own, and not impersonate any other person or entity. Hakeem may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Intellectual Property
The Hakeem name, logo, and platform software are the property of Hakeem Health Technologies. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our branding or software outside of your normal use of the platform.
Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hakeem is not liable for any medical outcomes or decisions resulting from consultations conducted through the platform, as these are the sole responsibility of the independent doctor providing care. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the platform.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate a doctor's or parent's access to the platform for violating these Terms. Suspending a doctor's account does not delete or alter any existing patient records, reservations, or clinical history already created — that data remains intact and accessible to the relevant parent.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. If you access Hakeem from elsewhere in the Gulf region, you acknowledge that the service is provided on a cross-border basis from Egypt.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the platform. Continued use of Hakeem after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
